This is the 2nd time the builders of Avaron have drastically slashed prices. The first time was a few years ago, when all of Jube Wright was for sale, with prices starting just below 1.2M. They surprisingly offered the same price reductions to folks in escrow, probably to avoid lawsuits. One issue with this development is that homeowners in the Crosbys have full access through the gate to reach their residences, whereas Avaron owners do not have access to the Crosbys gate to reach Del Dios. It’s very busy and a huge negative if you live near the main road. The best McMansion deals in this area are in Santa Fe Valley – Bel Etage, Savenna, and Salviati developments, located 1/2 mi to the east. These homes are 4000+ sq ft, gated, highly upgraded, fully landscaped, generally have larger lots, and fully finished. You can tack on another 200K to finish landscapng and upgrading a new Avaron home.
