The commercial flight paths are north and south of BP, so you hardly (if ever) get any airplane noise. You definately have the constant hum of the 5 and 8 freeways, but after a while it becomes white noise. Even further up the hill, you still hear it.
Maybe its because of all of my childhood memories, but everytime I am down there, it is so relaxing. My wife and I are currently renting in Poway and as I mentioned earlier in the thread, we’re planning to move to a BP rental when our lease is up later this summer. We make at least three 60 mile round trips to the BP/Pac Beach area every weekend to visit family, friends, and dining.
