I did not state that, you put words in my mouth. I stated people may re-think whether cuts to the CDC were a good idea. They may come to the conclusion that it made the coronavirus spread worse, whether or not that has any basis in fact.
Personally, I think the whole coronavirus thing is overblown. Only the very old or those with medical conditions are dying, for the most part. We could say the same thing about the flu.
The worst part would be dealing with the illness and, at least if it continues, the isolation for two weeks.

What we dont want is for the coronavirus to become a seasonal illness like the flu. Imagine getting the flu and then coronavirus then another strain of flu all in one season.
