Steven Levitt asserts that the drop in the crime rate in 1980’s was caused by legalization of abortion. I am not pro-eugenics, but if you want to make abortion illegal you should be aware of the cost associated with that move, in addition to the ethical aspects – be ready for more prison guards and cops with fat retirement plans.
