The San Diego based restaurant chain Anthony’s Fish Grotto (owned by the Ghio family) boasted 3 different varieties of grill-broiled shark on their menu: Mako, Thresher, & Soupfin.
Shark Opinion: Working there 5 years as a starving student, they kept me well fed. Thresher is the best – meaty, yet delicate, not fishy tasting at all.
Shark Myth: Many diners believed that eating shark on a regular basis would increase your chance of being attacked by sharks when swimming in the ocean. I now avoid surfing when possible.
