Power lines in near proximity are definitely a deal breaker for many potential buyers. It is one thing if you have a home in the $500 k range near power lines. But if you have to shell out >$800k then buyers become much more selective.
I would not consider a home that directly abuts high tension/transmission electric lines. No matter what the savings. And I would likely pass on any home that was within several hundred feet of the aforementioned.
