Palin is pleasant to listen to and isn’t too hard on the eyes. That’s about it.
But on the last post by Arraya, I think that staying in Iraq to “Oversee the oil supplies” will possibly be what keeps us there long term.
I’ve heard that the US has secrectly desired having a foothold in the middle east for some time. This definitely achieves that goal.
Bush has said that history will prove this war to have been the correct choice. Wouldn’t it be strangely unsettling if we end up in agreement with his statement? (Not you jf, we already know what you think….)
If the US continues to occupy Iraq and at some point begins to benefit from the oil there, especially with China willing to soak it up from all other sources at any price, it could, in a twisted way gain support. But, this would confirm that Bush used WMD as an empty excuse to go into Iraq, which is what everyone thought to begin with…
