masayako, what you said is so true. Most Asian guys would like to have a house before married and some even take up two jobs to do so. It’s in our culture to own a house first before investing in stocks, bonds or mutual bonds. They think it is a waste of money to rent and why pay a landlord when you can pay yourself. I also thin it is a status symbol to own rather than rent.
