It’s frustrating when someone you like has a different political view than you do. Focus more on the things you like about them and the interests you have in common. They are not bad people just b/c they have a different opinion. I’m more put off when they insist their view is the right view. If I can understand they are entitled to their opinion, it would be nice if they also allowed me to have mine, but it doesn’t always work that way. Some people just like to argue. Trying to educate them can be hard work and unless these people really mean a lot to you (and even then a challenge), I find it not worth the effort. Not so easy to convert people to think as you do.
