I watched James Carville on Larry King last night. He said that the McCain team believes that Alaska’s proximity to Russia gives Palin “foreign policy experience.” If that’s true, all I can say is “WOW.”
If McCain is trying to win over Hillary voters, Palin is NOT the answer. She’s waaaaay too conservative. From what I understand, she is anti-gay, pro-life and pro-gun.
Liberal Hillary supporters will never go for that.
I think Palin will appeal to blue collar workers and people like my former neighbors in the Upper Midwest who would never, EVER vote for a black person, will think Mr. Palin’s snow machine prowess is cool, and love the photos of a rifle- toting Governor Palin.
It will be interesting to see how Saturday Night Live skewers Gov. Palin. I can already the see skits featuring Tina Fey as Palin!
I’m looking forward to the debates. McCain vs. Obama will be predictable…but Biden vs. Palin will be pure entertainment!
