And now, six embryos are implanted, and, not only all 6 survive, but they multiply to produce 8 fetuses? The chance of 6 single pregnancies resulting in 8 babies simply because of dividing embryos is something like 1 in 800. Even if the chance of twinning is higher in IVF, that’s still a very unlikely outcome.
