I remember the vast “open spaces” between the city and North County along 101/I-5. I though back then that I wanted to live in Coastal North County when I grow up. I loved the space and the proximity to the beach…and no one around. Not only can I not afford it now, but way to crowded. I miss the surf trips though.
Hey, speaking of bars…what about the Stage Door on Crystal Pier? I think it was there more than 50 years, before it closed down the the ’90’s(?). Been there, done that.
