I realized that I wasn’t in the shape that I needed to be in when 5 of the 6 days of skiing I had this winter were powder days. I’m determined to keep my legs in better shape and be able to get more than 3 runs in without my quads burning up this next winter.
Therefore….
I started running more frequently up and down the hills in my neighborhood and just about died as all I was used to running was around the bay downtown where I used to live. That lead to buying the “Insanity” workout that I did in April and May. Now I am in the best shape I have been in 10 years. Since completing the workout, I now get a 3, 5, and 7 mile run in up and down the hills every week. Except for last week when we put in some serious mileage and elevation in Glacier Park.
