I am second generation Bay Park Elementary, Marston Middle School, Clairemont High alumni (my father attended all three in the 50’s and 60’s.) Based on what he told me regarding schools when he attended, by the time I made my rounds through each, quality had definately decreased. However, for me, keeping our children (when we decide to have some) in a safe area, near family, etc. trumps the potential shortcomings of the schools. If the schools are really as bad some make them out to be, I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.
