I am now in the process of paint, carpet, landscaping, etc. Basically living my life at Home Depot/Lowes (I take after you tg). Prices are excellent on materials and labor.
Ha ha I hear you. We’ve been visiting Home Depot / Lowes once, sometimes twice a day since we closed escrow. I’ve somewhat foolishly started a construction project (converting an archway between the living room and the dining room into an interior partition wall). It’s harder and longer than I expected. In the mean time, my wife repainted three out of four bedrooms.
Does anyone know a good contractor to install a gate?
I wish I knew! It’s a daunting task. Taking on debt and getting the keys was easy…getting the place to sparkle and have that personal touch seems so out of reach. I tallied up everything I need to take care of now and I’ve come to the conclusion that I will single handedly rescue the economy once the house is done. I now see how tempting it was during the bubble years to tap the good old HELOC. “Free” money, infinite projects to do, houses always go UP UP UP! No brainer.
