Currently, this program is a waste of tax payers money, because it puts an artificial floor on home prices. These homes should be priced at around 150k to start with. Its sad to have our money keep this prices out of reach of people who actually don’t qualify for these programs. Let the system work inself out, and low income people with our tax payer money will be able to qualify for a much better home, and those above the minimum to qualify will be able to find something affortable quicker.
