CA renter– I am not a liberal, but I agree with you about the American dream. The dream, or maybe I should say ideal, of this country was that there was no class system and through hard work a person could make a better life for himself, usually by obtaining an education and a profession, but sometimes just by sheer will. I am also opposed to artificially propping up the prices. The market should be driving the prices, not the politicians.
