It depends where you live, TG. I think in Temecula you might get derided for driving a Prius; but in La Jolla, you get more credit for driving one.

Oh, I doubt you would get credit driving a $25K econobox in La Jolla. Fisker, Ferrari, Rolls, Lambo, maybe even Bentley. But not a Toyota.
Prius may get more respect around libraries, college campuses, and anyplace geeks hang out.
Jacked trucks only get respect in high school parking lots and the southeast.
