I would still recommend holding onto some saving for the just in case. Other than that the materials now are cheap and I did the same exact thing you are talking about many months back (all the work myself). My kitchen only costed 9500 total but I didnt spend much on cabinets. Im only about 25k into the house right now and thats after redoing my small pool. I got all the pool equipt off craigslist including a free heater that works awesome (awesome guy in North Park gave it to me).
Well, shades of 1952!!! waiting hawk, I saw your video. If that’s Alta Loma Dr. 91902, you snagged a very good buy, esp since there appears to be a fairly well-done room addition in back. Was it permitted?? Is your side of the st connected to sewer? Off the top of my head, I can’t quite remember how this is in that little pocket.
Absolutely LUV your Ikea kitchen. Did you get the ikea rollouts for shelving as well?
I saw you have a baby and/or young kid as well. If you moved to Alta Loma 91902, I just wanted to tell you that Valley Vista Elem is a very good school, very nuturing. My kids did not attend there but I have heard this from other parents.
You are a much better video camera person than me, as well. Congrats on all your good handi-work!!
No its actually 91701 Alta Loma is the horse properties above Rancho Cucamonga pushing the mountains. Pool heater was free on CL (some guy responded to my wanted add saying he was doing a backyard rehab and to come get it) WANTED ads are a big key (all in caps in the subject line) I do my wanted ads in IE, SD, Palm Springs, and Orange counties as I travel to each area every week for work. Picked up in SD
7 ft pool slide $200 actual about $1200. Bought in Palm Springs
Stainless stove was off CL for $150 out of someones foreclosed house. Id say about 75% of the items I got were from someone losing thier house. Bought in Redlands
2 sets of outside tables and chairs I bought for total of $260. One set was all iron with the mesh metal table top. Really nice set which was $200. Bought in Corona and Victorville
A stucco guy to patch a hole I had from someone adding 200 amp service was found and same on granite install which came out to 1900 installed with that 36″ wide island bar slab.
