Lots of toys have sharp corners. Even something as simple as a toy train. They aren’t necessarily dangerous for him, but they can damage the floor.
Also, wooden floors are slippery and cause falls.
You can try to make sure to only have washable markers, but toddlers are good at finding permanent markers and ballpoint pens and you’ll have to keep all that stuff locked up to preserve your nice clean walls and floors.
