Here is what I want to do….is it possible? I don’t know….
I can get wholesale (builder pricing) from one of the large modular home builders. I’m not a builder, but my research says these homes are built better (this company anyway) than most site built stick homes.
I can pick up a 3000 sq ft home for about $40 per sq ft…I’ll need to buy my own land obviously and then hire a GC to strap her down, hook plumbing, electrical and roll out the carpet. (These homes come in 3 pieces). Cost of construction should run me about $16 per sq ft.
I really like the Bonita area, but I’ll need to find a spot where they would allow a modular.
(Not sure how much you know about modular, don’t mistake them for manufactured.)
