Yet another classic post!
November 1, 2006 at 8:14 AM #38896oc_fliptrackParticipantDidn’t see anything on that street on RealtyTrac.
November 1, 2006 at 10:14 AM #38910LookoutBelowParticipantAs I said on a previous post some months back, its going to get more and more dangerous and "normally" balanced people will be pushed over the edge and do things they normally wouldnt do….Its sad really, but nobody was holding a gun to their head when they bought those over priced shrines of ignorance, it was pure greed.
November 1, 2006 at 10:40 AM #38915sdappraiserParticipantHey Newbiz,
What’s YOUR address? Let’s see if we can analyze your mortgage to determine why you are such a bad and inconsiderate driver. Maybe I’ll also pull your credit report and see if you are as late on your credit card payments as you are to work.
November 1, 2006 at 11:41 AM #38925lendingbubblecontinuesParticipantLighten up, SDAppraiser…
What? Did you appraise this house?
November 1, 2006 at 11:59 AM #38927anParticipantpulling out slow when there are people waiting and letting you pass and you have ton of space to go and holding up traffic is just as bad and inconsiderate as weaving around such driver. If you’re gonna pull out that slow, then wait till people pass by before you pull out. JMHO. Oh, BTW, zillow info is public so you can go and check every single house in San Diego.
November 1, 2006 at 12:59 PM #38928newbizParticipantSDAppraiser – no luck there
You are not getting my business anytime soon, Well I rent this house and have no mortgage. I pay my rent on time. Anyway always looking out for a NOD in the mail for my land lord – LOL
By the way, I go to work late everyday – lol, 10 am is usually early, that’s why I was a driving rather badly.
As lendingbubbleco said earlier, Hope SdAppraiser did not apprise that home, cus that deal reaks of Mortgage fraud, 1.175 mil for a 3000 sft home in this neighbourhood in june of 06, is completely out of control, that home should not have been apprised for any more than 900k, it should be more like at 800k.
Well I am not a certified appriser, who spent 2 weeks in a training class to apprise homes. So I might be wrong.
I smell buyer cash back, probably buyer/seller/appriser/realtwhore sharing in the spoils of the fraud.
November 1, 2006 at 1:08 PM #38931PerryChaseParticipantIt baffles me that people living in million dollar houses should have financial problems. I know a couple whose marriage is on the rocks because of a recent million dollar purchase in Poway.
We’ll see all kinds of real-estate related crazy behavior in the coming years. And yeah, no own was holding a gun to their heads forcing them buy.
I love anecdotes because they illustrate the trends.
November 1, 2006 at 11:04 PM #38989CardiffBaseballParticipantI think it is the responsibility of people pulling into traffic to do it with a sense of urgency. It’s like the people on I-5 who insist on maintaining 4 car lengths in 10 MPH traffic. Actually those people are great when you need to change lanes, you can always count on one.
It never ceases to amaze me that when my line is crawling and the ones on either side of me are moving, that I slip into another lane, and find 2-3 overly safe drivers back to back back.
November 2, 2006 at 7:02 AM #38999AnonymousGuestIn order to become an appraiser, one must take several classes and participate in a one year, full time internship with a seasoned appraiser. Don’t know where you got your “2 week” info from.
November 2, 2006 at 7:46 AM #39002CritterParticipantIt’s hard to equate professionalism in the appraisal industry with some of SDAppraiser’s comments being so spiteful. There are other appraisers out there who give good info with their posts – I’m sure SDAppraiser has such info in his arsenal, but he usually goes off in another direction with his commentary, so people respond with vitriol/bad info of their own.
Just my 2 cents.

What the heck? Are you trying to be sarcastic? What about the jack-a$$es that gun it when they see someone trying to pull on or in front of them? Do you really want people driving "with a sense of urgency". That is exactly how accidents happen, which slow everyone up for hours. Hope you are being sarcastic, because otherwise you just sound stupid.
Maybe you need to seek out that old driver's ed Goofy movie and watch it.
November 2, 2006 at 10:04 AM #39024anParticipantAccident happens when you’re not fully aware of your surrounding and make sudden moves that cause the accident. So yeah, it’s the responsibility of the person pulling out to be courteous enough to not hold everyone up for too long. If you insist on pulling out slowly, then wait till the coast is clear.
November 2, 2006 at 10:36 AM #39031CardiffBaseballParticipantNo I am not being sarcastic, why does someone insist on maintaining 150 feet of distance in bumper to bumper to traffic. Then you get stuck while everyone behind you gets into one of the next lanes, pass you by, while slow-poke who can’t keep up with traffic has 10 cars slip into the gap, to which he/she figures they still need to maintain the gap and slow up even more.
I don’t like people who speed up to prevent changing lanes either.
However this is a judgement call. If see a potential slow driver wanting to get into my lane which is moving, I do not slow up to let them change into my lane. If it looks like someone who is going to be fast and aggressive, and will force me to slow down, then I’ll actually slow up a tad to let them in.
