In 2008, the U.S. had over 12 thousand firearm-related homicides. All of Japan experienced only 11. Almost no one in Japan owns a gun. Coincidence?

You could say arguments that deny the facts, perpetuating the status quo are a leading cause of gun-related deaths.

If you prefer, guns facilitate homicides, suicides, and accidental deaths and they are arguably the quickest, most convenient, and most effective means of ending life. By removing them you are not eliminating the desire to kill, but you are eliminating one of the easiest means to end life. Do you lock you door? Why?
