Mold is extremely difficult to get rid of and includes replacing anything which has been infected. I had a roomie who moved into a place which had been flooded before she moved in and it was repainted without being repaired. She ended up in the ICU hooked up to machines twice and came very close to dying. If I remember correctly she had been there for a few months before being hospitalized. Because she had substantial hospital bills she got a lawyer who paid about $1000 to do a mold test on her unit. I never heard about the case being settled. Your health is not worth any amount of money and if you end up in the hospital you have to prove it was the mold that got you sick as the LL will claim it must have been something else. I agree with the other posters when I say “run!” Find a newer place.
