This can be accomplished much more easily by targeted shopping trips, to stores and parts of town one usually avoids. I have to admit that doing this sort of thing gives me a false sense of confidence about my physical shape, though. I’m skirting the “overweight/obese” line by the way they define it, but going to Walmart makes me feel skinny.

I never understand all the California quips about fat Midwesterners – you can see plenty of that around here, too, even at the beach.
