A few things I’m looking for in a house:
1) not too close to freeway to hear the noise, but not too far so it’s convenient for commute.
2) not backing into major street.
3) not obvious powerline in sight.
4) relatively high ceiling. Again certain communities have even higher ceilings than the others. open floor plan.
5) okay lot size. I’m not a gardening person so I don’t care for big lots.
6) Views: my parents love views but I feel like I cannot really afford a great view if I have all these other things on my list.
7) This community houses are all relatively new. So the upgrades/styles inside the house are all fairly good.
With the above info…..do you think I can quantify say…in CV, getting a SFH for less than $350/sqft is a reasonable price?
At the peak I think houses are going for like > $400/sqft. So now getting it at $350/sqft…doesn’t seem like a very big drop or a steal. But I guess that’s just how CV has held up?
