Your “elitist” views come out in almost all your posts, sdr. Piggs know better. Especially those that have lived here all of their lives. If every Pigg wanted to live in NCC, most could find a way to do it. NCC isn’t the be-all and end-all and you actually know this. You make it sound like it’s some kind of “nirvana,” when we all know it has the same ills as the rest of the county, some even more exacerbated, like “gridlock” several times per day on the ONLY hwy thru there, duh!! ALL of your clients are “beautiful people” who put down huge down payments or pay cash for NCC property. H@ll, with all the $$ you must be making, why aren’t you living inside the covenant? You fail to mention that there is plenty of distressed property in your neck of the woods or talk about the portion of listings there that are in disrepair. Lenders don’t have any “shadow inventory” there according to you. There are no eyesores in NCC either, or trailer parks, lol. Oh, and the 400-600 section 8 units in 92009 …? That subject is on the “down low” here. Well, I just brought it up again, lol. No mention of any past or present scandals with school boards. All the school scores are perfect in NCC and all the senior HS kids in NCC graduate on time. Shhhh … there are no ESL students attending there, either!! There are no homeless people hanging out on the beach. And NCC is “insulated” from rowdy bars and crime … yeah, right. Damn, in reading your posts, one might surmise there was a pearly gate wrapped around the area!!
It seems you take every opportunity to slam my neck of the woods. I even saw a blip somewhere last night from you (no source link provided that I recall) about South County having a 4% higher unemployment rate than North County. Assuming arguendo your stmt can actually be verified, it is easily explainable. Over half the residents in 91910, 91902, 91911, 91932 and 92118 don’t need to “work,” at least not in the sense of going to a “job” every day. Wide swaths of these zips are not “worker-bee” or “commuter” areas. Many residents are business owners, semi-retired, retired or otherwise financially secure and spend part of their time on community, church and charitable endeavors. So what does that tell you??
Hey, if you want to be “helpful” here, sdr, since you’re in the “trenches” in NCC, if you see a fixer or great deal that you don’t have a client for, why don’t you post it here in case another Pigg might be interested in touring it??
SD is not an urban city with a big downtown core like SF or other places you mention. It is not the newbies who abandoned downtown leaving it for the Hookers and Homeless it is the long time SD residents who never developed a proper downtown and let it rot in decline.
sdr, from where did you come up with these conclusions?? Not only was the ONE entire block of “visible prostitution” in dtn SD driven out by the vice squad in 1984-1985, the vast majority of “homeless” cannot sleep in dtn doorways anymore as they have been driven into encampments and programs in lower 92101 (east of East Village), lower 92102 and 92113. If you are somehow privy to “invisible” prostution in dtn SD that the rest of us can’t see, how is it that you are aware of this??
If SD’s downtown is not a “proper downtown” and has been allowed to “rot in decline,” then how is it that buyers of “dtn skyline view” properties in 92106 and 92118 are willing to pay $200-$300K extra just to have an engulfing view of all this “rot” and “decline??”
I’m not the only Pigg that hails from South County, sdr. Your constant jabs at it are offensive, off-putting and show the depth and breadth of all the misinformation and assumptions swirling around in your head. It just sounds ignorant. It’s time to check our egos at the door.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! And that includes you and yours, sdr! I gotta go work in the kitchen now. I’m one of those “lowlife South County unemployment stats” who doesn’t have a “traditional” job to go to so am free to “take care of business” as I see fit :=)
