Studies that linked saturated fat consumption to high cholesterol have been shown faulty. In nearly every major clinical trial since Taubes book came out, people on a lo-carb regimen showed improved cholesterol profiles particularly triglycerides.
I would preface this by saying, not everyone has this insulin resistance problem. The high-fat, lo-carb type diet seems to work well for those prone to belly fat. Let’s face we all know skinny people who really don’t do much to stay thin, and I don’t know that that person has the same issues dealing with insulin.
