You may have some rights against the sellers, depending on what was agreed to, signed, etc. Ultimately, you are in a tough spot since the deal has already closed and the sellers are long gone.

I think your idea about getting estimates and presenting them to the seller’s agent is a good start. Make sure you give her a deadline to respond back to you.
