Days where I want to leave early, I can’t, because after traffic, I’d get home not much sooner than if I stay at work 30-60 min later to miss traffic. Then there’s the dentist/doctors/etc appointments. Or if your spouse/kid get sick and you have to go home and tend to them. Not fun if you have to deal w/ traffic too.
I guess to each their own. If the OP can handle and want to deal w/ 45 minutes one way commute, then he/she can get some very nice houses for the price. Much better than anything around the 56.
I am with you here. It was a real pain when I did that. I am starting to remember better and better… time has a way of attenuating the more painful memories…
I don’t set *TOO* much store on schools, but it’s nice if a great majority of the parents are involved and care about the education, and they have some financial means to help that in a public school. In regards to private schools, 8-10K a year is out of the question, unless dire needs….
Thanks for making me remember how much a long commute at rush hour can suck!!!
