We did the same thing and settled on Denver as it is sunny 300+ days/yr and although snows in the winter it is limited and it is also a dry climate (we wanted to avoid humidity).

Also know people who relocated to Boise, ID….$$$ goes a long way and the airport is easy and brand new.
