I’d point out that some of those hyper-specific job postings are likely designed to meet the minimum advertising requirements for H-1B visas (so that the company can higher the “only” person that fits the bill, on an H-1B). Not passing judgment on that, but it certainly happens, and companies that specialize in H-1B compliance will help do it.
Also in that vein, it may be internal rehiring / re-shuffling requirements for various public (and some private) bureaucratic hiring policies.

Is 100K it? Or is there equity too? Phone apps currently seem to be “the future”, but I’m not sure 100K would entice me (new jobs are risky for both employer and employee; in this economy, if it ain’t broke…). But I’ve been lurking here for a long time, and over the last couple years your side project has piqued my curiosity.
