OK, first sdrealtor, I’ve refused to buy anything all this time myself but my 36 inch tube went kaput, so I had to replace it.
Piggs thanks for all the tips but I had to go with the $799 50 inch 720P Plasma. When I checked out at costco, there was also a $150 rebate on this model which I was not expecting. I end up walking out the door with one of those babies for $735 taxes, Calif. disposal fee and all. All that with Costco’s 2 year warranty, 90 day return.
Now the next questions is do I switch to ATT-U-Verse or DirectTV from Cox? I’ve been fine with Cox but I am really paying for a bunch of crap I don’t need. I have a phone with Cox, but don’t use it much, and my whole package runs $150 or so per month. I could potentially bill back my cable bill to work, (I don’t now as it shows up as $15, even though I’d get $180 over the course of the year). So with Cox I am probably leaving money on the table.
Seems I could switch to a digital package elsewhere. One thing is it’s a rental and I am not sure about attaching a mini-satellite. Still it seems you could wind up with more freebies by switching service. The only hassle is not knowing if my phone number with Cox is portable.
