You probably have at least 3 months before receiving a NOT, Notice of Trustee sale…the sale will be 3 weeks later..
After the sale, I believe that the current CA law is that a tenant has at least 60 days after sale to vacate…
You won’t have to move anytime soon….
Paying the landlord is a different issue. If they have a security deposit, I would IMMEDIATELY use that as rent and not allow them to have any deposit.
I seriously doubt that they will serve you an UD.
If the property was purchased as a rental property, they probably signed an “assignment of rents” which means the servicer can come to you to collect rent.
If they converted a former primary to a rental they would not have signed the assignment…HLS
