For those of you concerned about housing if a depression really kicks in, the Gov’t has you covered under HR 645 (January 22, 2009), a summary from the gov’t web site (govtrack.us):

To direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers on military installations.

Don’t worry, you’ll get fed and they even have medical care for their guests, wow this is great. I’ll rest much better now…
