It’s apparent that many in this discussion do not understand the concept of diminishing marginal utility. This concept is at the heart of our progressive tax system. Until you have a basic understanding, you should really refrain from discussing the advantages and disadvantages of our current tax code.

Not trying to be a smart arse, but it’s really a waste of time to discuss tax policy with people arguing that “such and such percentage is not fair” based strictly on incomes.
