From what little I have personally seen, SD rents fell hard in late 08- early 2009, but have stabilized and are rising afterwards. I would say that the lower priced options are seeing increasing pricing, while the ‘luxery’ places are still struggling to get their preimums.

January 7, 2010 at 3:01 PM #500425Nor-LA-SD-guyParticipantI have been saying for a while that I would not want to be an apartment owner right now, also that there are a lot of empty apartments out there,
Who would rent an apartment when you can rent a house for about the same amount, Plus I think manly due to seasonal stuff some natural slowness to all real-estate this time of year anyway but for apartment owners it is probably brutal right now.
