Participantso…you would have rathered the state go into bankruptcy? yeah, that makes sense. or would you rather have shut down the California state government, let all the prisoners in our jails go free, fire all teachers/cops/emergency services, just to make sure the big corporations gets a tax cut?
i would suggest you go take a look at the budget: you cannot tax cut your way out of it.
FYI: (-1) + (-1) does not equal zero.

I keep hearing this but I have yet to hear a really good reason we cant cut our way out of it. Usually it just seems like some kinda montra that gets repeated so everyone will believe it. Mixed in with some overstated sarcasim of “or we could just fire everybody” a real debate never seems to happen.
We could cut our way out of it, the question is are we willing to accept the reduced services it would bring.
