IMO microsoft was foolish to propose the deal and yahoo was foolish to decline it.

I'm going try to exit my long position in MSFT if there is a pop there next week.
It's too late to short Yahoo. Me thinks it's going to tank on monday.
Though, if it hits the 20ies or below, I will probably pick some shares…because I think MSFT and Yahoo will be back to the table soon. Both need each other to some extent, because MSFT's MSN is going nowhere and Yahoo's search market is getting killed, and their other content portals aren't doing so well. Of course, the merger would be hell.On one side, you have a MSFT shop that will want to do everything MSFT. On the other hand, you have a PHP/BSD hacker shop which hates msft technology. Integration would be a disaster.
