Marion – I can totally understand your reason for beginning this thread – rodents are disgusting, especially when you find droppings on your things – YUCK! And perhaps when people first criticised your frustration with your landlord’s inattention to the problem, you could justify standing up for yourself. However, if you look back at your posts, you might see that things have gotten totally out of control. In the profession that you and I are both in, we have the responsibility to present ourselves at all times in a professional, thoughtful manner. You are doing a diservice to your colleagues and all other therapists, psychologists, etc. by presenting yourself in such a manner. As you continue to grow in this profession, you will see and experience the range of attitudes people have towards psychologists/therapists. In chosing this field, it is your obligation to promote a positive perception at all times, not this negativity that you are currently displaying.
I am not attacking you, I am just asking you to be mindful on how you are presenting yourself and representing your profession. Entertainment is one thing, but this has gotten out of control. There are other websites dedicated to talking about relationships and being provocative…there are even ones that explore cross-cultural relationships (didn’t you say that your ex was half Asain?), but this one is about real estate and economics.
