I drive by this area every day, and I noticed that work on this project after grading has pretty much come to a halt in the last couple weeks–in fact, I noticed that about a number of projects around the area. I wonder if Shea is holding off a bit, given the market, or whether this delay is just a normal part of construction. It seems as if it would be smart for them to delay if they can afford it, as it doesn’t seem to me as if homes around the area are being snapped up by eager buyers.
In fact, I wonder about the two much smaller “luxury home” developments off La Costa in that same area. There, construction continues, and a few seem to have sold, so maybe the Leucadia market is stronger than I think.
Sign twirlers are out every weekend, though!
