ParticipantIt definitely depends on where you are. Is it high end in La Jolla or Del Mar? High end Encinitas or RSF? Poway? Scripps? There is high end in Kensington, or Mission Hills… Even high end out in places that are rural. Like sdr said it is to general a question and without specifics the answer is moot.

ParticipantOk, I was waiting until we went pending, but it is in RSF, west end. We are buying for about $80k less (6% less) than their spring 2002 purchase price. sdrealtor PM’d with some opinions, that makes me think that we are doing pretty well with this purchase.

ParticipantI would say its a pretty prime piece of RSF real estate at a price well below what many people paid to live in tract homes nearby in CV, Encinitas and South Carlsbad. Winning at this game means being opportunistic and it can happen anytime in the resale game (new homes are a different matter as you cant buy what’s not being built). He’s a winner in my book.
