OT: we have great people running for office.

It’s a very difficult choice for me choosing who to vote for the California governor. These are two very bright, highly committed and respectable people. Meg Whitman who spent more than 100 millions of her own money to be able to contribute her successful skills to the state, aiming to create another worldly success story, and Jerry who has a life time of experience and who have proven to be tough and take an independent stand at times.

California is lucky to have great people the world would die for to have running for office.

Put things in perspective, I really respect both candidates. One great person will stay and one moves on. I feel we are lucky to have the commitments of these great, talented people running to serve us.

Agree, KIBU. The “governor” of this state is an extraordinarily difficult, thankless “figurehead” position. If these two are willing to use their vast talents to serve us, then so be it. It could be a h@lluva lot worse!

Look at Arnold. He didn’t need the “governor salary.” He would have been a lot healthier and not aged as much if he DIDN’T take the job. I’m sure he wouldn’t want to trade the experience now but I just don’t see that many REALLY talented people willing to take on this task due to exceedingly aggravating factors inherent in CA’s location, population and politics.
