    Me and ms scaredycat were working the grounds of the scaredycat estate making a path down a steep slope to the lower area where future goats may reside. If that sounds like fun you would be right. I am an avid hiker also like mtn biking but I have never done any trail mainenance (well a little bit at the Santa Rosa plateau, but that’s it) … It is very satisfing to shovel out a little path down a hill that is very steep and which I’ve lost footing on a few times lurching up and down.

    Shoveling dirt on a hill is good exercise

    So later we are googling “cheap retaining walls” and come across a cool idea. Stack up bags of cement unopened and water em down till they set. Quick and simple. No link but many sites talk about it google concrete bag retaining wall for photos looks kind of like weird river rock. Anyone ever try it? Sounds so simple but smart. Stack the bags in a wall shape amd voilà a wall.

    Also what if wedont do anything? Probably the path will just bake hard over the next ten months. Might a small simple dirt path just pretty much stay in place? I could shovel it out annually if nec.

    We wanted to prettify it with some steps and maybe some flagstone at one flattish part so maybe a wall there

Oh great Internet he has revealed unto me the answer it is concrete google concrete bag retaining wall for awesome pics …makes me feel like getting a few thousand bags just in case I feel like stacking a wall somewhere. Zombies or whatnot
