I am just glad that an attack was prevented when TSA at SF airport made me take the shoes off my 5 month old son. He kicks ass and with the shoes on he can be lethal.
It was very refreshing to fly out of the UK recently and NOT have to take off my friggin shoes.

It appears that the Israelis use both prior intel, and a lot of “people sense” to screen passengers for potentially troublesome ones, and it is only the ‘potentials’ who get the more intensive
screening. The Americans treat all passengers like potential terrorists.Your thoughts?
From the interview – they assign a number 1-6
1” is you’re super awesome “6” is you’re fucked and in for several hours of humiliation.
1 is reserved for white Jewish Israelis,
2 is for white Jewish non-Israelis and friendly internationals,
3 is a suspicious Israeli or international,
4 is sometimes given to non-white Israelis
5 is for Arab Israelis or questionable internationals(oftentimes 5 or 6 will be given to political dissidents just for the humiliation)
6 is for Palestinians, Muslims, and hostile internationalsAnything 3 or above means interrogation. If you are a white friendly international that comes with somebody of Arab decent you will be given 3 or above – meaning you are suspicious

Prof. Donna Shalala, who served as the US Secretary of Health and Human Services for eight years under Clinton and is currently the president of the University of Miami, was held for two-and-a-half hours at Ben Gurion Airport during which she underwent a humiliating security debriefing because of her Arab last name – all this despite the fact that her hosts notified the airport ahead of time that she is a VIP.May 12, 2011 at 3:16 PM #695035ArrayaParticipant
