OT: Have any of you used Citibank’s Price Rewind?

So, now that Costco has switched over to Citibank Visa, I’ve been looking at the benefits of Citibank Visas.

Citibank has this thing called “price rewind” for purchases. If you buy something and register it with citibank (using a SKU and/or upload a receipt), supposedly citibank is guaranteeing you’ll have the lowest price over a 3 month period. If it finds a price lower, you’re suppose to get a refund of the difference. If you find a lower price, you can upload a receipt/proof, and you’re suppose to get a refund of the difference.

Anyone try this and get a refund?

I recently spend $450 on a dual drive backup on Amazon, and since it wasn’t on sale (because I needed it immediately), I’m tempted to see what happens.

I guess for cheap items, it doesn’t really matter. But maybe the new Harry Potter book I bought for my kid too, which I’m sorry to say, sucks this time…

I wish it worked for car purchases 🙂

Worked excellently for me. Used it on a new CPU and speakers and got around $300 back from it due to the lower sale prices i had found.
