OT: Getting sick of all the bank robberies in carmel valley

That and the economics of bank robbing isn’t what it once was in the era of Bonnie and Clyde. I imagine you’d be lucky to get $20,000 in cash for your trouble, which is great if you get away with it but carries a huge risk. Still, that loss is nothing for the bank compared to the liability of having a teller or security guard get shot and have to pay medical bills or survivor benefits.

The money these teens rob pale in comparison to the money homeowners robbed through this real estate bubble. Banks have bigger worries. Robbing a bank nowadays is like a petty crime compared to the money lost in real estate. But then again, the banks aren’t even worried about that, since the taxpayers are there to the rescue.

I understand that there was a bunch of “robbery” by wall street. But let’s face it…Pretty soon thug that robs banks then starts actually robbing in the community from mom and pop stores or residence. Anyone that says “how is this different from the Obama adminstration”, I’m going to slap silly.

I really wish banks in the area would start getting serious about beefing up security. It’s just ridiculous. And I think I read some of the mom and pop stores have been hit too.
