ParticipantAN, I’m doing just this. I’ve given up on the SD dealers. SD dealers aren’t even close. I’m just wondering if anyone else got recent comps. I know these SUV’s aren’t selling and Acura in general isn’t doing well these days (hence all the marketing incentives).
What can you say when you design most of your cars to be FWD in the luxury segment?
Your friend was able to get an EVO below invoice? Get out of town? Really? I remember when the first gen came out San Jose dealers were doing $10k above msrp.
BTW: you on the waitlist for the GTR? π Thought I’d ask….

TSX has best-in-class gas mileage, and it’s selling very well despite the price hike. Acura guys probably wish they didn’t drop RSX, it would fly off lots much quicker with Acura badge than with Honda Civic Si badge.

ParticipantYeah, I don’t have any updated comps on the MDX, but I agree with your reasoning. You can probably drive a harder bargain. They need you more than you need them. You can also ask the one down here or up there to price match each other. That always work wonder for me.
Acura finally learn and releasing an AWD option for their next TL. They’re the HP/L leader in the small car segment but their V6 failed to continue that trend. Which is just too bad.
Yeah, he got the EVO IX below invoice and they gave him free oil change for life too. While he was shopping around, one dealer down here actually wanted above MSRP for it. So, it was a no brainer for him.
I wish I have the disposable cash to get a GTR now :-). I just can’t pull myself to spend that much on a car even if I did. I definitely will get it used though, when it fall to around $30k-ish.
