Thank God for American GI Joes. Proof that gun training is essential to the defense of freedom.
Only mistake was not tossing the SoB out the door at 250 km/h right before the train passes an overhead wiring pole. Would have saved the French the expense of locking the POS up.
I really hope this won’t lead to increased security controls or bag searches on European trains. This should be thought of as the cost of doing business, not a world-shaking event.
This could never have happened in the US. The US doesn’t have high speed trains.
What is the fundraiser for?
Well, it did happen on a LIRR “normal” speed train in the 90s — unfortunately, no one beat hell out of the shooter.

Their vacation was interrupted by hospital stay for one guy and they had to get the Legion d’Honneur.
Idea was fund their next quiet vacation at a place such as the La Reserve Paris overlooking the Grand Palais. They may need a big place to entertain belles dames français.
