I’ve gotten everything from amazon from car parts, to tv’s to computers to batteries to toiletry items to home items I needed for my rental.
I think the last time I stepped into best buy was to check out something, and then I ended up buying it elsewhere because best buy prices suck.
Me too. I’m an Amazon Prime junkie. I almost never go into a retail store for anything these days. If I do, I bring my mobile phone with the Amazon price checker app and often order from Amazon when I’m in the store!
Many prime orders often come the next day.
Thanks for the heads-up on the sharing thing. I didn’t know about that.

Invite a household member
Up to four household members may share the shipping benefits of this membership.April 11, 2012 at 10:40 AM #741459AnonymousGuestDoes “household member” mean they have to live at the same address?

no, it doesn’t matter as long as they are a relative. There is a choicebox of brother/sister/mom/father/cousin/etc. I share with my relatives that lives in bay area and in L.A.. Perfectly fine. I checked. They just need an amazon account.
At first, I didn’t want to spend $79 (correction it’s $79, not 72) on it. But then getting stuff delivered in 2 days is a plus.. And when I share the membership with my relatives, the cost like $80/5 (correction, you can share with 4 family members, not 3).. Less than costco executive membership, frankly. And it pays for itself for things like shipping big items overnight within 2 days.

Very cool. I have had Prime for six years, I wish I had known about this sooner.
Thanks for the info!

Ever since I’ve signed up to Prime, I pretty much buy everything from Amazon.

Thanks.April 11, 2012 at 6:28 PM #741498The-ShovelerParticipantApril 18, 2012 at 2:05 PM #741869CoronitaParticipantTwo days, and two tech companies are getting hit. Not because their numbers look bad or anything. But it’s looking like sell in may and go away is going to hold true this year too.
Intel announced yesterday, and of course folks didn’t like they didn’t meet “whisper” numbers.
QC just announced, and WS didn’t like that their Q3 outlook is coming in lower than expected.
Other than that, fundamentally both companies did well. But hey, that’s they roulette wheel for ya.
coincidentally, I’m seeing more inventory available in carmel valley… I’m kidding…sort of.

April 18, 2012 at 4:24 PM #741871The-ShovelerParticipantI have this weird theory, before you can have a market down turn you have to have the majority of side line money invested, my guess is we are not there yet (that way the few in the in-crowd can take advantage), (I know it’s just me),
anyway, My other theory is there is no way they are going to let anything derail the economy right now, china is about all done propping up the world economy so we are the only thing standing in the way of a worldwide collapses, there is no way in heck they are going to let that happen, my guess is Europe will continue to find miraculous and endless sources for buying their bonds no matter how ugly things get until we are in full recovery mode. Anyway that’s my theory (I know it’s just me).
August 3, 2012 at 9:06 AM #749433The-ShovelerParticipantWHAT!! all the 401K money coming in at month start or what…
No fun being a bear right now (or even on the side lines).
Oh well…
August 3, 2012 at 9:11 AM #749434spdrunParticipantToday’s unemployment report is pretty bad, despite the 160k jobs “created”. Unemployment up, U-6 up, participation bouncing around 10 year lows. And it’s awesome that Bennie-Shalom and Mario Druggie are staying out of the game for now. I’d love to see DOW 10k by October.

Actually, we’re just a smiggin above 13,000. So you really didn’t see much action from april, if you didn’t attempt to trade on the swings.
